GSAC logoGSAC and the internet

Here's a quick overview of the various GSAC bits and pieces on the internet. No one product does everything we need so things are spread out a bit. It all works pretty well though.

The club website has a bunch of public pages and some private ones (i.e. pages that are intended to be read by club members only). We publish a new newsletter each quarter, but otherwise this site doesn't tend to change much. The website also has an archive of photos taken by members of the club, right back to the beginning in the early '60s.

Any emails sent to gsac@googlegroups.com get broadcast to everyone in the club automatically. This is the main communication method we use in the club and you'll typically see one or two emails a week coming from here. If you are not receiving these emails (or you are and you don't want to) please let Joe Fegan know. You can also send emails to this address yourself if you have something you want to broadcast to everyone.

Teamer is the newest addition to our internet collection and the "players" tab will give you phone numbers and email addresses for pretty much everyone in the club. Listing your details (especially phone number) on here is entirely optional but it does enable people to contact you if need be. We also broadcast a text message to this list a few days before each club dive to let people know exactly where and when the dive will be. If you don't want to receive these automated messages you can turn them off using the "my profile" tab in Teamer.
