Finally got to do some diving on Aran! The weather gods have been kind and we're making up for lost time.

I'd write more but it's diving season now - no time for anything else!

Just back from a great weekend diving around Belmullet Co. Mayo. The Stags of Broadhaven were definitely the highlight of the weekend with 15m+ vis and calm seas - unusual for such an exposed site. We rented a house for the weekend and everyone stayed there - not too difficult with 17 beds in the place! I think the owner suffered from serious OCD though - the place was full of notes, mostly telling us not to spill things on the carpets. Why? What have you heard?

Experienced members of GSAC volunteer their time to aid in the search for and recovery of people tragically lost in rivers, lakes and seas. To help raise funds for this cause, which involves the upkeep of boats and search equipment, the club is holding a table quiz this Friday, 14th March, at 8 pm in Monroe's Galway. All are welcome.

Spring Diving in GSAC - 2014

GSAC prides itself in diving every Sunday all year round without exception but this Winter's storms hampered our efforts to get in the water and we had no choice but to leave Mother Nature to wreak what havoc she would. We went for a dive at the Coral Beach to find the road down to the beach had been washed away. However, Spring is now here and our wetsuits are being donned once again and we won't be deterred by those kind of minor details.
